You'll pick up from our site that we are on the whole a little bit crazy about Jesus!
Why Jesus?
Sadly over the millenia ‘The Church’ has often poorly represented Jesus...and sold us religion, instead of giving us Him. The man who taught and healed in the hills and cities of the middle East around 2000 years ago was pretty rude about religious people — and it got him murdered! So, we’re not big fans of religion.
The real Jesus of the Bible has a unique message about who God is, who we are, what God is doing — and how we can be a part of God’s good plan for our world. A message of great hope, that alas remains widely unheard...
The historical evidence is strong that Jesus is alive in an astonishly real way, and that His claims and his message are powerful and true. We have found that the experience of following Jesus changes our lives, and continues to change the world.
If you think Jesus has nothing to offer you, you may have been sold a false Jesus! Why not join us on the journey of finding the real One...
So why church?
Despite the failings of ‘The Church’ in many ways, we believe that gatherings of people who follow Jesus remain the primary way that God is working in this world, and this is what Jesus meant when he referred to his Church.
God is calling people to be His kids; His eyes and ears, hands and feet; not to be idle or self-focused but to “Love the Lord your God with all your passion, intelligence and spirit, and love others like they were your own.”

“It is simple religions that are the made up ones.”
— CS Lewis
“If you have a God great and transcendent enough to be mad at because he hasn't stopped evil and suffering in the world, then you have a God great and transcendent enough to have good reasons for allowing it to continue. You cannot have it both ways.”
— Tim Keller
“Jesus...calls us to share in his work of drawing out and dealing with the evil of the world; by loving our neighbours, both immediate and far-off, with the strong love that sent him to the cross; and by working out the implications of that love in our own vocations, whatever they may be.”
— N.T. Wright
